KNOW YOUR BRANDS: ADAMA PARIS

Adama Paris is a fashion brand owned by Senegalese designer, Adama Amanda Ndiaye who lives between Dakar and Paris. Living in these cities influenced her choice of fashion which is not only multi cultural but also very urban.

The brand recently launched its new collection which showed at Dakar Fashion Week. The collection which is themed Sahelienne was inspired by Malick Sidibé. Mainly monochrome, the collection is made of superimposed silhouettes with mixed materials and a mix of shapes and patterns ( line, peas, diamond). Monochrome lines present and use of Sahelian Moussor contribute to the mixture of forms and prints harmoniously.

Adama Amanda Ndiaye is also the founder and producer of many fashion events such as Dakar Fashion Week, Afrika Fashion Awards which has become the Trophies of African Fashion (TMA) and the Black Fashion Week and Prague and Paris ad Bahia Montreal.
