FLOWERY AND CHIC!- THE RHYTHMIC AUTUMN/WINTER 2014 COLLECTION FROM EKI ORLEANS- "RHYTHM"

SG

Are you ready for some fashion from Eki Orleans?
The brand described their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection named “Rhythm” as a feeling of the “hypnotic beats of an African drum and the seductive rhythm of salsa and dancing to samba on a balmy night in Rio“.
Music has always been a powerful source of inspiration to the brands Creative Director, Hazel Aggrey-Orleans, and this season she has translated her love for Afro-cuban music into her Rhythm collection.
Featuring her signature silk and chiffon, the collection is all about the freedom of a beat. Speaking on the collection Hazel said “I wanted to capture the rawness of the African drum and the melodic elements of samba, in a way that inspired spontaneity, fun and playfulness“. Using a dazzling array of golds and blues in sensual and sophisticated silhouettes, the designer created modern and elegant pieces that are indeed fun and playful.

It is definitely God, a team that doesn’t sleep and passion. Whether there is money or no money, it is the passion that keeps you going. I just focus on being me. Whatever I have achieved so far, they weren’t my aim. My aim was just to become better every day at what I do. Somehow, people noticed. I have been into music for about seven years professionally. Here we are today at BET Award and hoping one day, it will be for the Grammy Award. It is a crazy ride but I am thankful that God chose me. I am myself. It is just that being a popular person doesn’t permit me to do some certain things I would have loved to do. I would have just been a...
