REFRESHINGLY CHIC, COOL, EDGY WITH ATTITUDE- LAMISIGO S/S 2014 ‘BLOOD AND BONES’ COLLECTION

Refreshingly Chic, Cool, Edgy with attitude describe the Iamisigo S/S 2014 ‘Blood and Bones’ Collection. The looks from the lookbook features Beige and Burgundy hues in Organza, shredded leather, pleated and crinkled satins. The designs are chic, feminine and flirty.
The inspiration behind the designs was the human body.
Fashion Consultant and Artistic Director of the Iamisigo brand; Bubu Ogisi said she was inspired by the concept of the human body through the combination of colours, style and self-examination, "A collection created while I was pregnant, my body went through so many changes. My "blood" and my "bones" were creating another being, my son. My body inspired me to create a collection that reflects my innermost workings."
The “blood” is represented by the Burgundy part of the Collection that’s a formal, sophisticated and sultry look for the modern woman while the “bones” are represented by the beige/light brown designs that are feminine, sophisticated, organic, less formal and earthy.
The looks featured flirty organza dresses, draped blouses, cropped tops and sultry satin dresses for the modern woman.
The perfect Iamisigo muse is a woman who is bold enough to put her best dressed body forward!
Check out the looks.

VICTORIA BECKHAM COVERS ALLURE MARCH EDITION

Victoria Beckham  came out to discuss how she was bullied back in school while attending a public school while she covers the March edition of  Allure Magazine . The designer and fashion icon looked beautiful in a close up shot where she opened up about how she works, her dreams, beauty routine, juggling business with family amongst other things. The former spice girl dished  on designing  for 'real women' “I find that even the simplest of dresses, if it has the correct seaming and the correct fabric, whatever shape or size you are, it can change the way you hold yourself.” Later on in the year, her first brick-and-mortar store will open in London, allowing customers “to see the brand through my eyes, as opposed to being able to buy what the retail partner buys. The buyer will be what I decide.” On growing up : “I didn’t go to a private school; it was a public school. It was not a very nice school.” “ I was different from all the other children at the sch...

THIS MAY SAVE YOUR HAIRLINE

A lot of people complain about thin or thinning edges/hairline. A small tip, which may go some way in helping to keep edges thriving is to use pH, which simply put is the measure of acidity or alkalinity of a substance. The scalp has an acid mantle, meaning that it is covered by “a very fine, slightly acidic film on the surface of the skin acting as a barrier to bacteria, viruses and other potential contaminants that might penetrate the skin” 1 . This means that for the scalp to thrive, it should be at a pH of about 4.5 and 6.2. Luckily, the sebaceous glands secrete this acidic film so it occurs naturally. When we wash our faces, we use an alkaline soap or cleanser. A lot of times, when a barrier of some sort, such as a shower cap is not used, some of this soap or the resulting foam lands smack on the hair line and will stay there until rinsed off…if rinsed it off properly. This disturbs the natural pH of that area of the scalp.  Think about it this way: When we shampoo,...
