GREAT TIPS TO PREVENT DRY SKIN

Skin tends to lose more moisture  when temperatures are cold and the humidity is low. Here are some simple tips to keep your skin hydrated and glowing.

1: Wash your skin with olive, almond or avocado oil.To do that  Pat oil on your skin, rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh soaps and astringents. Limit baths to once a day and use a bath emollient to improve hydration.

2: Moisturize your skin in the morning and before going to bed. Use a moisturizer that contains humectants, such as glycerin and vitamin E, which help skin attract and hold in moisture.

3: Use an oil based moisturizer rather than water based as the oil will create a protective layer on the skin. You can apply a thin layer of olive oil or pure shea butter to dry elbows, feet, arms or other dry areas.

4: Exposure to sunlight can dry out skin, so be sure to wear a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or greater when outdoors.

5: Do not neglect your dry scalp. Use a deep moisturizing shampoo to soften patches of dry skin and reduce itchiness.

6: Never wash the dishes or work with household chemicals without putting on gloves.

7: Eat a well-balanced diet including whole grains, seeds, nuts, fruits and vegetables. Increase your consumption of foods rich in sulfur, such as onions, garlic, eggs and asparagus, which helps keep skin smooth.

8: Replace vegetable oil or animal fats with cold-pressed oils such as extra-virgin olive oil and sesame oil. Supplements of evening primrose oil maybe helpful in people with dry skin.

9: Drink at least 2 litres of water every day to hydrate your skin and reduce or eliminate your intake of alcohol and caffeine.

The Rich Aunty is that one aunty in everyone's lives (fictional or real) who radiates an affluent, sophisticated vibe with her fashion sense. There are simple ways to spark off that vibe on even the tiniest budget. Yes that's right you really don't have to rob a bank on this one cos we've got you 😉. Although most times it isn't cheap to look the part but if you follow these cues closely, you'll have a smooth transition to the Rich Aunty lifestyle in no time. 1. Bubu/Maxi gowns: The gown is of course the rich aunty starter pack, but it does not qualify you for the title just by wearing it. As stylish, sophisticated, and very fashion
